Context

E-Shop v1 is an internal storefront MVP for a source-evidenced nine-product catalog and a PayPal Sandbox checkout journey. The shopper uses the project-owned application. PayPal Sandbox is an external runtime system. AliExpress is an evidence source only: the runtime reads a reviewed local snapshot and makes no vendor call.

Goals and constraints

• Keep product records and permitted assets evidence-backed; do not invent missing products or prices.
• Keep PayPal credentials server-only and runtime-injected.
• Fail closed unless the PayPal environment is explicitly sandbox.
• Keep production payments, purchases, fulfillment, and vendor-account changes outside the MVP.
• Run project applications and supporting configuration inside the Corp v1 home-lab boundary; Discord and the LLM provider remain collaboration externals.

Material assumptions

The MVP has no database. Browser-local cart state is intentionally non-authoritative. A shared demo cannot claim successful checkout until Sandbox credentials are configured through the approved secret path and deployed create/capture verification passes.
