Authorized users need to preview the exact Terraform changes for a selected account and resource subset before any infrastructure mutation.

Expected outcome

Users can inspect an immutable, attributable plan result and make a later apply decision with an accurate understanding of proposed additions, changes, and removals.

In scope

  • Select an account and resource subset and run Terraform plan without applying changes.
  • Bind the preview to selected resources, variables, provider or account, credentials context, and an immutable design revision.
  • Display additions, changes, removals, warnings, command output, and final success or failure.
  • Prevent failed or stale previews from authorizing apply.
