Complete your first trainer flight
This tutorial takes a new AeroSim pilot through one path: start the local platform, select the trainer, fly a circuit, and confirm that the session was recorded.
What you will build
A completed Trainer · Circuit 01 session with a visible debrief result.
Prerequisites
- The AeroSim application repository checked out
- The toolchain listed in that repository's README
- A keyboard or supported flight controller
The application is at initial kickoff. Commands below state the intended developer experience and will be updated as executable application scaffolding lands.
1. Start AeroSim
From the application repository, run the documented development command. Wait until the launcher reports that the simulator is ready, then open its local URL.
Visible result: the AeroSim launcher displays three aircraft: Trainer, Airliner, and Fighter.
2. Select the trainer mission
Choose Trainer, then Circuit 01. Keep the default weather and airport. Select Briefing and review the circuit altitude and runway.
Visible result: the pre-flight screen shows the trainer on the selected runway.
3. Fly the circuit
Select Start flight. Complete take-off, crosswind, downwind, base, final, and landing in the displayed sequence. Follow the guidance gates rather than changing mission settings.
Visible result: each circuit phase changes from pending to complete.
4. Review the debrief
After stopping on the runway, select End session. Confirm that the debrief contains elapsed time, completed gates, and landing outcome.
Visible result: the session appears in recent flights with a completion state.
