Delivery scope
Execute 3,600-tick calm, headwind, crosswind, gust, clear, and low-visibility sessions in each certified browser. Capture SessionConditionConsistencyReport that compares launch, per-minute physics wind samples, rendered environment states, and final session metadata to the original EnvironmentSnapshot selectionDigest and preset values.
Implementation contract
Implementation artifacts
- applications/web/test/flight/environment-session-consistency.browser.spec.ts
- applications/web/test/fixtures/environment/environment-scenarios.json
Inputs
- EnvironmentScenario {selection,expectedDigest,expectedWindCheckpoints,expectedPresentation,commands,stepCount:3600} and the exact browser build SHA.
Outputs
- SessionConditionConsistencyReport {buildSha,browser,scenarioId,selectionDigest,physicsCheckpoints,presentationCheckpoints,finalDigest,effectsObserved,violations,passed}.
Failure boundaries
- Fail with ENVIRONMENT_EFFECT_NOT_OBSERVED when wind does not change the governed motion metric or visibility/light does not change its named presentation property.
- Fail with SESSION_CONDITION_DRIFT when any physics, presentation, panel, or final metadata digest differs from the launch selectionDigest.
- Fail with ENVIRONMENT_TRACE_NOT_REPEATABLE when repeated checkpoints differ for identical build, browser, snapshot, seed, timestep, and controls.
- Fail with ENVIRONMENT_BROWSER_INCOMPLETE when any scenario lacks a complete report from Chromium, Firefox, or WebKit.
Excluded scope
- Visual regression by human judgement, unsupported presets/weather phenomena, cross-session persistence, network synchronization, and mobile browsers are excluded.
Verification steps
- Run applications/web/test/flight/environment-session-consistency.browser.spec.ts for all scenarios in Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit.
- Assert each expected aircraft metric and named scene property changes from its calm/clear baseline and all checkpoints retain the launch digest.
- Repeat every scenario twice, mutate a mid-session snapshot in the fault fixture, remove one browser report, and suppress one effect; assert the exact failure codes.
- Retain test-results/environment/session-consistency.json keyed to build SHA, browser, scenario, and selectionDigest.

Acceptance evidence
Verified delivery: application PR #104 reviewed head 0601ccb5ce2c8b468423b4e28d58318f12b1dbab passed all eight exact-head gates in run 4079 (tasks 3091, 3093, 3095, 3096, 3097, 3098, 3099, and 3100). The candidate-bound environment-consistency job produced 18 passing reports across Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit with 61 physics and presentation checkpoints per 3,600-tick replay pair, deterministic repeatability, exact failure codes, reset evidence, and cleanup evidence. Merge commit 5f57f5b7059c47d7d2632748eeb687f3e9376a72 passed post-merge required validation, exact-revision validation, image build, and image publication in tasks 3101, 3102, 3103, and 3104. Release 1.0.0 deployment and runtime-health evidence remain required before DONE. Release completion verified on product 1.0.0.0 at GitOps revision 5d3712d89dfbf7dacd993348e55f497d126c7bf9 with Argo Synced/Healthy, exact image digests, authenticated API/database access, and three-world configured-flight acceptance.
Current evidence boundary
No current implementation, acceptance, release, or deployment evidence is claimed for this planned Task. Any prior implementation may be used only as prototype and discovery evidence.
