Automated rendering and browser smoke tests prove the representative scene mounts, updates, switches cameras, disposes resources, and emits no runtime errors in the production build.

Delivery scope

Verify the production-built flight route in Chromium, instrument console/page/WebGL failures, exercise camera switching and repeated route entry, and assert R3F resources and animation subscriptions return to baseline after disposal. Primary files: applications/web/e2e/flight-scene.smoke.spec.ts, applications/web/tests/flight-resource-disposal.test.tsx, applications/web/tests/helpers/webgl-instrumentation.ts.

Inputs

  • Production Nebula bundle served by Vite preview
  • WebGL instrumentation counters for contexts, geometries, materials, textures, and requestAnimationFrame subscriptions

Outputs

  • Playwright smoke report with flight canvas and both camera modes rendered
  • Resource counter report returning to baseline after five route leave/re-enter cycles

Failure boundaries

  • Fail on console.error, pageerror, WebGL context loss, failed asset request, or unhandled promise rejection.
  • Fail when any instrumented resource or animation subscription grows across repeated mount/unmount cycles.

Excluded scope

  • Visual-fidelity approval, GPU benchmarking across device classes, and usability evaluation are not part of rendering-runtime health.

Release completion verified on product 1.0.0.0 at GitOps revision 5d3712d89dfbf7dacd993348e55f497d126c7bf9 with Argo Synced/Healthy, exact image digests, authenticated API/database access, and three-world configured-flight acceptance.
