Delivery scope

Run the real Nebula client against the Fastify Socket.IO gateway and prove authenticated round trip, acknowledgement correlation, ordered delivery, rejection paths, bounded reconnect, deduplication, and disconnect cleanup using the shared runtime schemas. Primary files: tests/integration/realtime/socket-roundtrip.test.ts, tests/integration/realtime/fixtures.ts, tests/helpers/test-socket-server.ts.

Inputs

  • Test JWTs for valid, missing, invalid-signature, and expired subjects
  • FlightCommand fixtures with valid, malformed, duplicate, and out-of-order sequences

Outputs

  • Round-trip trace correlating commandId, acknowledgement, and FlightState sequence
  • Connection cleanup assertion showing zero gateway sessions and zero client listeners

Failure boundaries

  • No state event may be delivered for an unauthorized handshake or invalid command.
  • A reconnect must not replay an acknowledged command or deliver the same FlightState sequence twice.

Excluded scope

  • Latency SLO measurement, horizontal Socket.IO fan-out, Redis adapter deployment, and long-lived telemetry archival are not covered.

Verification steps

  • pnpm test:integration -- socket-roundtrip.test.ts
  • Terminate transport after sequence 3, reconnect, emit sequences 4 and 4, and assert the store contains 1..4 exactly once.

Release completion verified on product 1.0.0.0 at GitOps revision 5d3712d89dfbf7dacd993348e55f497d126c7bf9 with Argo Synced/Healthy, exact image digests, authenticated API/database access, and three-world configured-flight acceptance.

No current implementation, acceptance, release, or deployment evidence is claimed for this planned Task. Any prior implementation may be used only as prototype and discovery evidence.
